Moreen McGee has led a
tough life and she blames it all on one woman in her past. She did drugs, got
involved with the wrong man and is now on probation for robbery. According to
her, life just never gives her a break. Although she is straight now, she is
still bitter, and while trying to do a good thing she ends up stealing once
again. But this time she gets caught, not by the cops, but by the pleasure
Djinni that owns the lamp!
Paran knows about being
bad—after all, he is a demon by birth, although a Djinni by choice. He knows
what it is like to regret your past actions and although Moreen stole his lamp,
he is determined to turn her life around and help her find happiness again.
But Paran's family is
disappointed in him and they want to make him pay for turning over a new leaf.
And the best way to make him pay? Hurt the one he loves!
TO RUB, HONOR AND OBEY is
the third installment in the Desires of the Lamp series. Each story could be
read as a stand alone but you will get greater pleasure out of reading them all
in order as secondary characters in some tales become primary characters in
others and vise versa. Ms. Barron has created a wonderful world of the pleasure
Djinni. Their jobs are to give pleasure, happiness and correct wrongs. The
details of the story are rich and sensual; the plot is a simple one of
correcting past wrongs but it is how it happens that is so much fun. Favorite
characters from the first books make their appearances and primary characters are
explored in depth. Paran and Moreen's story is sexy as well as
heartwarming. Sex scenes are full of
fantasy, mild kinkiness and very light BDSM. A bit of danger is added to this
romance with the appearance of Paran's family. It spices up a plain romance
into a bit more. I have enjoyed each of the titles in this series and TO RUB,
HONOR AND OBEY continues the theme nicely. I am looking forward to number four!
