Caro left
her ex-lover five years ago when she realized she would never be enough for the
neck biting slime. In those five years, she has re-vamped (hehe) herself and
become a successful business woman, marketing her catering company to humans as
well as the supernatural community. Landing the Stokes account would be the
icing on the cake. However, her good mood turns sour quickly when the news is
given to her that the account is hers—for a price. She has to team up with Alex
King—her ex vamp lover.
Alex was
a jerk five years ago. The only thing he cared about were the parties, the
women and getting laid. All that has changed now and he is determined to find a
way to show Caro that he is a new man…umm vamp. He wants her, only her and one
way or another she’s going to be back in his bed. Now if he could just get her
away from the vampiress who’s threatening them, get the wedding that’s planned
off without a hitch, and pass Caro’s test, he might just stand a chance.
Fun,
intoxicating and totally brilliant, PARTY VAMPS is a sure fire hit for any
paranormal romance fan. The exotic elements that are woven throughout this
story will have reader’s addicted (I know I was) from the very beginning. The
past relationship between Caro and Alex is bittersweet, erotic and even filled
with humor at some points. When they rediscover each other, it becomes even
more humorous. Caro is pissed off! How dare this imbecile show back up in her
life after everything she has worked for? Then to have the nerve to think she’s
just going to fall back into bed with him. I could literally feel her outrage
at Alex. I could relate to her wanting to slap the crap out of him and walk
away for good. I did have a hard time being mad at Alex though. He’s just too
sexy and suave. He knows all the right lines to get past Caro’s anger. Although
this story has an intriguing subplot with the vampires after them and the
wedding they are working on, it’s the romance between Alex and Caro that really
swept me off my feet and left me flying high long after I finished. It’s
decadent, sensual and completely riveting. Oh and did I mention HOT?
