Let me start out with wow! Ms. Hill and Ms. Mason have a smashing book; FERAL HEAT will blow your mind. I was immediately drawn into this book from page one up until the end. This story starts out with a bang and ends with one as well. This is an erotic paranormal ménage book that is wonderfully written. There are several characters who I fell in love with, right from the get-go. Kai is the leader of the cougar clan and is also a changeling. He takes leading he’s people very seriously and strikes me as a man who goes above and beyond. He’s a very sensual and passionate man and cat. He’s mated to the hot, hunky Aric, who also loves the clan. But the problem is that he wants young and Aric unfortunately can’t provide him with any. Although he loves Aric with his whole being, he needs to find a female who can provide him with young. Kai is strangely attracted to Sable’s scent and her body. The first time I read about them together it was so enjoyable. I read as quickly as I possible could to see the whole erotic scene. The erotic scenes in this story are brilliantly written. The reader gets lots of wonderful description of the love between the two characters, and nothing is left to the imagination. You feel as if you are one with the character and it is very exciting. I could tell, with the atmosphere around Kai and Sable the first time, that something crazy was about to happen and it added more feeling to the story. You see, Sable is being used against Kai and Aric to get the talisman amulet that is very important to Kia’s clan. I was on pins and needles waiting for the story around Sable to pick up and I wasn’t disappointed. She is a perfect match for Kai, and surprisingly, Aric as well. There is a part of the story that is burned in my mind. Kai and Aric meet up in the cave with Sable and things get hot very quick. Kai can’t figure out exactly what it is about Sable, but whenever he’s around her, he wants to be inside her. She starts things off with a blowjob that is totally arousing and moves on with Kai licking between her legs and Aric sucking on Sable’s lovely breast. When she’s really worked up, Kai wants his cock inside her pussy. We see this two really go after it and, of course, we can’t forget about Aric. He wants a part of the action too and is more than ready to be inside Kai. We have a great three-some going on here. There are so many sexy scenes in this story. I liked watching all three of them together, but there is just something about two hunky men that really pushes the story along. I found that seeing Kai and Aric pounding into each other was my favorite of all. And seeing these two play around in their cat form with each other, really tops the cake. I was very happy with FERAL HEAT. I hope to read another book by Ms. Hill and Ms. Mason in the near future.
